Everett F. LaFond

Everett LaFond (January 4, 1901 - March 20, 1961) was an American politician. He was a member of the Wisconsin State Senate, representing Wisconsin's 1st Senate District. He was a member of the Republican Party of Wisconsin.〔Wisconsin Blue Book, 1950 edition, page 27〕
LaFond was born in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, where he attended ''St. Luke's'' school, and the ''Two Rivers High School''. He came from a long line of fishermen, being the fourth generation of his family in the fishing industry from Two Rivers. He was a member of the Two Rivers city council in 1934, served on the Two Rivers School Board from 1940 to 1943, and was a member of the Manitowoc County Board from 1934 to 1947.〔Wisconsin Blue Book, 1950 edition, page 27〕
He was a World War I veteran, having served overseas in the Navy on a Minesweeper ship. He was active with the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, serving as commander of the local VFW Post 1248.〔Wisconsin Blue Book, 1950 edition, page 27〕
